Are there car tyres without air filling?

By Admin Tyre With 2 Comments

Normally a car tyre is filled with air. For special applications, however, tyres can also be filled with special gases. There are also tyres that are largely filled with other materials for emergency running properties.

Wy must trye filled with air?

The tire manufacturer Michelin lets the air out of the tires. This is no joke and will be produced in 2024. After Michelin 2017 already presented a tire manufactured from the printer the first milestone is the Michelin Uptis already a genuine prototype of a new tire, which gets along completely without air. Individual flexible sipes are firmly attached to the rim. The sipes are made of rubber, carbon fibre and polyester resin and are supposed to have a vibration damping effect. Even the impact extinguishers and kerbstones can hardly harm the tyre. The treads correspond to the high standard of conventional Michelin tyres. The Michelin Uptis should therefore have a long life even under the same load.
